It was all shock and awe when Russh did an editorial featuring cult it-boy Jethro "I've got more to offer than this pout and pose honey" Cave, and now they've bravely ventured into the realm of publishing men on the cover of female oriented fashion magazines a la Oyster, i-D, Dazed etc etc.
Along side the male cover debut, the "Bunny 'Aint No Kind Of Rider" editorial is by far the most amazing editorial I've layed my eyes on. The spashes vibrant colour reminds me of documentaries if seen on Holi, the once a year Hindu festival of Colour where in one particular riatual participants throw around and smear each other with mountains of coloured ground-up flowers. It's a beautiful celebration of colour and I'd say that's what this editorial is in iteslf - a dazzling celebration of colours.
I'm pretty pissed considering my copy hasn't arrived in the mail yet - it's always late! And we all know just how hard it is to resist trawling the internet for previews of our favourite publication. I can't wait to get my hands on it and add to the shrine on my wall. If you want to know something about my wall: There's really not much there because I'm so select about what makes the cut, but snippets of this editorial will most certainly be the new focal piece.

it is such an amazing editorial.. i also put up editorials on my bedroom wall. my mum doesnt understand why i wanna be surrounded by models pouting but i get so much inspiration from the pictures. i'll look up in the morning and get inspiration of what to wear and how to do my make up. its still a working progress, covering 3 of my walls. i dont really have much room left so i think i might start with the cupboard doors! x
I just can say wow
Great post! Love those pictures x
This has to be the editorial of the year. Russh Mag has really surprised me thus far. It's amazing how an up and coming magazine can have such great aesthetics.

I'd hardly call Russh up-and-coming. They've been around for quiiiiiite some time now and have from day one had fantastic aesthetics and amazing editorial. Perhaps you think it's up and coming because it's Australian..?
